Spaces of Opportunity: Growing Resilient Desert Communities
Join AZ(LAND) and Desert Botanical Garden for a Community Tuesday focused on the importance of seeds, native plants, and sustainable gardening in the Sonoran Desert.
Through hands-on educational activities, participants will explore the life cycle of seeds, discover native pollinator plants, and learn practical approaches to xeriscaping and water-wise landscaping. Families can participate in butterfly-inspired art activities and learn how growing desert-adapted plants supports biodiversity, food systems, and healthier neighborhoods.
This gathering highlights the connections between environmental education, community gardening, and equitable access to green spaces.
